This is a site dedicated to our attempts to stay active and to see a bit of this big old world.
We have never been on a package holiday (except cruises) and have ben able to visit some amazing places as independent travellers. A lot of our earlier holidays were based on city breaks, usually with a trip to the surrounding countryside. Now we normally go for scenic destinations.

I am an enthusiast amateur photographer. Unfortunately subject and inspiration are not always matched by ability. In good light there’s a good chance of things coming out as planned
The photos are from a variety of phones, iphone7, several Samsungs, a Pixel7 and more recently a Pixel 9A pro. I originally had a Nikon 5300 DSLR, then I moved to mirrorless firstly Nikon Z50 and now Nikon Z50ii
